Wonders never cease. From my perch at the Berry Man Produce company, I see what comes through the warehouse on a daily basis. This past couple of week, porcini from Santa Barbara County have shown up. I had never heard of commercial amounts of porcini being available on the market.
They are pale in comparison to the boletus edulis that I know from Europe and central California. I am taking a few pounds home to try them.
