The season has closed on local lobster fishing. I took this photo of a lobster fisherman loading his traps onto a truck. Reports were that it was a poor harvest this year. Wholesale prices hovered over $15.00 per pound for these meaty lobsters. The season will repopen in October.
I have posted one of my favorite recipes from me London days at Le Gavroche. I prepared this for the Queen Mother's 79 birthday. It was a take out that we placed in silver service and was picked up by the butler in the Royal Bentley. Use East Coast lobsters until our local "bugs" are back in the markets.
