This past catering season we served at an event for William Shatner. I managed to find a Star Trek inspired cookbook from the 70s to create the menu. The book was mostly tongue and cheek and not a serious cookbook. With a little tweaking, I pulled a menu from its pages. It was great fun and we had a chance to meet the Captain.
Back in the 80s I had the opportunity to cook for him when he dinned at my restaurant, Michael's Waterside. No, he did not ask for 400 meals to be beamed up!
