Family business took us to Chicago recently. We decided to dine at a colleague's restaurant called NAHA. Carrie Nahabedian is the chef/owner.
Here is a short bio from the web page: "After departing her position as Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Carrie Nahabedian returned to her native Chicago to open NAHA in 2000, which garnered her a James Beard Award and seven consecutive Michelin stars. Carrie opened Brindille in the spring of 2013 along with partner and cousin Michael; while NAHA serves to highlight her Armenian roots, Brindille's refined Parisian fare celebrates hers and Michael's favorite spots in Paris."
We ended up dining at both of her outposts and had terrific food. Our luck was that it was restaurant week and special menus with ridiculous prices were in place, $22 prix fixe! The food style is well thought out, somewhat "Gucci" but delicious and well executed.
